ACCES was registered in 2001 as a non-profit, and approved by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) as a charitable organization in 2021. Since our creation, we’ve served the community of Edmonton with a variety of both recreational and educational programs aimed to uphold and exchange the traditional Chinese culture and its language. ACCES demonstrates its commitment to inclusivity by ensuring that all of our programs are available and accessible to all cultural and lingual backgrounds. Since our official designation as a charitable organization, we’ve hosted 120 separate classes and programs , and plan to greatly expand that number in the coming year.

ACCES Chinese School has been operating for over 25 years.
Seven years ago, the school’s Chinese name was officially changed to “超越中文学校”. Our icon is the sun and the small tree composed of the initials of the pronunciations of the two characters “超”and “越”. Here, I sincerely hope that the Chinese children of our love city, just like this colorful little tree, can thrive and be healthy and happy under the sunshine. Our Chinese school is willing to provide a fertile ground, a field for learning Chinese culture and traditions, so that children can fully absorb the traditional essence from the five thousand years. I also hope that the children can continue to carry forward and pass on.
